MEET THE BOARD

 

The Board is made up of founding members as well as new, inspiring individuals who live across North America.  Monthly conference calls are held and members meet in person (at their own expense) annually to brainstorm and develop a strategic plan for the upcoming year.  Our home office is located in Richfield, Minnesota.

CHAIR: 

Lynn Oulundsen

Founding Member in 2004.

Shanti Village...it all started in a mud hut. 

Visited Shanti Village in year of opening.

Always referred to as Didi, a term of endearment

and respect.

VICE CHAIR: 

Ann Regenscheid

Joined SV in 2008.

World Globetrotter. Has great experience working

on Non-profit Boards. Is a great resource person

on tough Board issues.

Joined Shanti Village because of their vision to provide assistance to people’s well-being in a variety of meaningful ways as well as authentic  sustainability through local input in Nepal. Joe is an avid traveler, works with numerous charities and consults others on worldwide travel. 

 

SECRETARY: 

Joseph Koch

Joined SV in 2016.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: 

Kimberly Case

Founding Member in 2004.

Friends with Sabita since 1999. Has visited

the school several times since the doors first

opened. Believes strongly in the empowerment of women and equality for the less privileged using

shanti means. Has learned so much being part of Shanti Village.

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER: 

Randy Brown

Joined SV in 2012.

World Traveler. A 'newer' member to the Board with great, fresh insight. Would like to see the students

of Shanti School use their education to be able to

provide for their community in the future.

TREASURER:

Dan Zimmerman

Joined SV in 2007.

 

His job takes him around the globe. He is 

our lead man on Finance issues with great 

insight into developing countries and emerging

economies.

BOARD MEMBER: 

Anita Buck

Joined SV in 2015

 

She joined the Shanti Village Team and headed to 

Nepal to volunteer at the Shanti School in the same

year. She toted a lot of supplies and organized them

for the teachers. Her enthusiasm is contagious.

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER: 

Tina Quinn

Founding Member in 2004.

Known for her 'Canadian chapatis' on her first visit

to the Shanti School. They were 'heavy' but yummy!

Tina was here from the start and thus, has much 

wisdom to share.

 

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER: 

Sattan Acharya

Joined SV in 2010.

 

Initially served as interpreter for Shanti Village, and now as advisory Board Member. He has been 

very generous with his time and support for 

Shanti Village.
